Governing Board
The Deerfield Valley Communications Union District (DVCUD) governing board oversees and operates all aspects of DVFiber. Each member town sends one representative as a voting member to the Governing Board. Each town may also send alternates. Occasional special meetings occur between regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public.

Executive Committee

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee manages DVFiber’s internal systems alignment and develops external communications tools and platforms, including this website, a quarterly newsletter, and social media platforms. The Committee also oversees DVFiber’s advocacy work. The Committee will assure that:
- Communications and advocacy plans conform with DVFiber’s vision, mission, and principles
- The internal communications environment is efficient and cost-effective
- Communications encourage engagement as well as increased understanding and trust
- Advocacy efforts represent the district’s residents and small businesses.

Finance & Audit Committee
The Finance and Audit Committee provides financial oversight for DVFiber. The main tasks of the committee are to develop annual budgets, to create financial plans, and to create and monitor internal controls and accountability policies. The Committee will:
- Develop and present budgets to the board and monitor adherence
- Ensure that the budgets are responsible and sustainable
- Develop and present reports of the CUD’s financial status
- Develop policies and procedures that amplify DVFiber’s vision, mission, and principles
- Set long range financial goals as well as the funding strategies to achieve them.

Operations Committee
The Operations Committee guides DVFiber’s interactions with the commercial vendors we will rely upon to deliver service to our communities. The Committee will assure that:
- Services are designed to conform with our vision, mission, and principles
- Unserved and underserved locations are our first priority
- The cost to obtain service is prudently low
- The sequence of construction is financially sustainable
- The quality of service is demonstrably high
